|||
If you picked up a new Tivo HD and wanted to upgrade capacity, you will be surprise to find out that none of the older mfstools you are used to will work. WinMFS has support for that model. The following screenshot is taken from a Tivo HD that has been upgraded with WinMFS. (Update) I've added support in mfstools as well and it can be downloaded from here. Tivo HD upgraded to 500GB
Tivo HD upgraded to 1TB
Tivo HD upgraded to 1TB and "Super Sized" with WinMFS MfsSupersize tool.
Tivo HD Upgraded to 2TB using Hardware RAID 0. (Currently, as of software 9.4, it does not work since linux kernel used can't support a partition larger than 1 TiB)
Tivo HD Upgraded to 2.5 TB using Hardware RAID 0. Tivo HD is the first model to break 2.2 TB barrier. (Currently, as of software 9.4, it does not work since linux kernel used can't support a partition larger than 1 TiB)
eSATA port is enabled for software version 8.1.7c2 or higher. For all other previous versions, eSATA port is disabled.
This is the message you get if you turn off your eSATA device after it's added.
